Margarita's is a locally owned Mexican Restaurant that is located in Aswaubenon on the border of west Green Bay. As you enter the restaurant the festive atmosphere and décor makes you feel like you left Green Bay and went on vacation. Everywhere you look there is an eye catching piece of décor, for example there are massive lime slices hanging from the ceiling, or there is a large metal sun sitting on a bench by the entry door, or different brightly painted murals on parts of the walls. Above the bar is a thatched straw roof with mini white lights. The walls are painted in a subtle peach sand color with partial brick walls and wrought iron scone lamps. It is meticulously and tastefully decorated and gives you much to admire while nibbling on the free tortilla chips and salsa.
I ordered the Wednesday's special for $7.49 which consists of two cheese and onion Enchiladas with your choice of shredded beef, ground beef, shredded chicken, or pork. You also have a choice of rice or refried beans. I chose the shredded beef and the refried beans. My server was always very polite and came back many times throughout my dinner. As I was waiting for my order I snacked on the fresh chips and salsa; the salsa was mild with a slightly thick consistency. The food arrived on a large platter and in the center were two very large enchiladas swimming in melted cheddar cheese. One side of the platter contained the refried beans and the other was abundantly filled with shredded iceberg lettuce and minced tomatoes. The shredded beef was very tender with a mild salty seasoning rolled in a corn tortilla which was oozing over with the melted cheese; it was a gratifying flavor. The refried beans were tasty with a smooth consistency and paired well with the enchilada. Next time I come back to Margarita's I will have to have one of their special Grande Margarita's for they looked so refreshing and delicious.
Bar Review Margaritas in Green Bay, WI

It's Birthday Time!! Not mine but a good friend's. When you're the Birthday Girl, you can pick anywhere you wanna go, and do anything you wanna do without complaints from your friends. So when my girlfriend suggested Margaritas, I plastered that fake smile on my face and said great! Read about my love-hate, mostly hate relationship with Mr. Cuervo here. Birthday Girl wanted to try Margaritas, located close to Lambeau Field.
As we pulled up, my first thought was that this was a corporate owned restaurant, but the ladies in my entourage told me that it was locally owned. There is NOTHING wrong with corporate owned bars/restaurants whatsoever; it's just usually I tend to prefer the locally owned ones more. The prices, the atmosphere, servers and bartenders are more laid back and to my liking in individually owned places. This is only my opinion; please don't yell at me for preferring smaller places. Now that my disclaimer is out of the way, let's begin with the good stuff--
We decided to sit on the bar side, it seemed a bit more lively and remember what Bday Girl wants, Bday girl gets. Our server came over almost immediately and told us about the drink specials for the day, 22oz. margaritas for only $5. Oh joy. Tequila. And lots of it. (Do you hear the sarcasm?) I asked the server her favorite and ordered the Prickly Pear on the rocks. A frozen raspberry, a frozen pomegranate and a pomegranate on the rocks were also ordered. While waiting for the drinks to arrive, I was quietly pumping myself up for the torture I was about to endure, tequila does not like me and I'm not really sure why. The moment of truth arrived a few minutes later and we all cheered to the occasion. I timidly took a sip from my fishbowl and was met with a sweet surprise. I couldn't taste the tequila at all! And there was plenty of liquor in there; I was quite tipsy about half way finished with my drink. The pomegranate flavor one was more than okay and the raspberry was tasty too. If you don't like any of those flavors then try something else. Margaritas had 26 total flavors to tickle your fancy. I was told the Sangria Swirl was another popular pick. All of them can be frozen and 23 flavors can be made rocks style. I inquired about the beers on tap and they had Dos Equis! I never see that anywhere and yes I realize that this is a Tex Mex joint but I still never see that brew on tap. They also had New Glarus, Miller Lite, Bud Light, Coors Light, Landshark, and Blue Moon.
And their bottle choices were the same plus other favorites such as Corona and Corona Light. Their liquor supply was fully stocked; they could easily mix you up whatever you had in mind.
Because Margaritas has the whole Corporate vibe going on, their bar area was completely set up for the sports enthusiast. Big flat screen TV's were across the bar area so you won't miss a catch/hit/kick/punch. Margaritas is a unique Mexican Cantina, with a relaxed atmosphere, great service and a sports bar area. Oh yeah, and the margaritas will definitely entice you to come back again and again.
