Restaurant Review of the Greek Boys Gyro in Green Bay, WI

Greek Boys in Green Bay, WIGreen Bay Restaurant Reviews by Patricia SummerfieldBy Patricia Summerfield
    July 15, 2010
Greek Boy's Gyro is a family owned restaurant and is located in Ashwaubenon on the border of West Green Bay. The interior of the restaurant is all done in royal blue and white with a few pictures of Greece on the walls, there are no booths and all the tables have blue tablecloths with gold edging and glass placed over them. In the front of the restaurant are two large picture windows and to the right is the counter and kitchen. You order and pay at the counter and they bring your food out to you. I noticed outside by the front door on the parking lot they have one patio table with a ashtray on top and an umbrella for shade.

Gyro at Greek Boys in Green Bay, WII ordered the regular sized Gyro for $4.99 and one can of soda for $1.00. I decided to sit outside since it was so beautiful out; my food was brought out to me in a plastic basket with my can of soda and a container of napkins. The gyro meat, which is blend of lamb and beef seasoned with Greek spices and broiled on a spit, was piled high with thinly sliced tomatoes and onions. A thick ribbon of tzatziki, which is a cucumber and greek yogurt sauce, was on top. The sandwich was large with thickly sliced meat. The gyro meat was freshly sliced off a spit and it was nicely cooked, not at all greasy and was lightly browned on the edges. The tzatziki sauce was creamy and thick with a nice light seasoning. My gyro tasted delicious. They also offer homemade Souvlakis pork or chicken which is skewered and marinated in a blend of Greek spices, extra virgin olive oil, and fresh squeezed lemon.
