Their sound is a raw, enthusiastic energy. The band, Gin, was set up on the far end of Fox Harbor Pub complete with lights and volume to grab your attention. Around since 2000, Gin hails from De Pere and includes members Benjamin Boncher - lead vocals/guitar, Shane LeSage - bass guitar/vocals, Chad Buntin - drums/vocals, and Joseph DeVos - lead guitar/vocals. Immediately you can sense they are having a blast, intent on playing music. The lead singer, Ben, was working to engage the crowd at every opportune moment. Selections leaned heavy on songs peppered with serious heavy guitar riffs, which is where the bands raw energy exploded. They play rock covering "new school" and "old school" with a few originals mixed in. Be sure to check out the acoustic version of Superstar, a band original, on their website.
