Bar Review of Fox Harbor in Green Bay, WI

Memorial Day Weekend usually consists of people gathering for BBQ's, hanging out with friends and loved ones while taking a moment to remember what this weekend/day is really supposed to mean. For me, it's also a day to get my garden going. I just finished digging up and tilling my spot when some gal pals of mine wanted me to join them at Fox Harbor. I still wanted to do some more yard work and I was obviously quite dirty. They said they had been there a while – meaning they were feeling more than fine -- so no one would notice my dirt smudged face plus one of my girlfriends excitedly declared she had toothpaste all over her shirt, we'd be a great match. She had me at toothpaste. I, at least, changed my clothes and wiped the dirt of my face (most of it anyway) and hopped in my car.
Fox Harbor is located downtown for all you automobile drivers, right off the Fox River for you boaters or on the Fox River Trail for you bikers and walkers. The inside is quite large with a big bar right when you walk in and exposed brick walls encasing the place. Giant flat screen TV's were all around and normally it would be the perfect place to sit down and have some cold ones. But not today, it was simply too gorgeous out and all my friend's were outside soaking up the last little bit of the sun on the patio. The patio itself is of a decent size; there aren't too many tables but there is plenty of room to stand and mingle. Plus, you can always have a seat at their outdoor bar. The view is awesome. You can easily people watch your little heart out with the folks walking along the trail, the boaters in the water, or just the crowd itself at Fox Harbor. On Sundays you can listen to bands entertain you and your friends outside. And when the sun goes down Fox Harbor lights up the fire pit they have in the middle of the patio. Pretty cool, huh? They also have a party room upstairs that includes a balcony too. I arrived too late for their Happy Hour but for future reference it's Monday thru Friday from 3PM – 7PM. You can get 2 for 1 rail mixers or domestic beers. Double pretty cool.
Fox Harbor's bar outside offers on draught, Bud Light, Bud Light Lime, Miller Lite and a Leinie's. Inside they have more of a selection if you're really in the mood for a tapper. Of course you also have the usual line of bottle beer products along with wine and a fully stocked liquor bar. When I arrived I thought I was smart in getting two bottles of my beloved Bud Light. I had to catch up, you know. Well, my friends didn't think that was good enough so one of them walked up to the bar and got a round of shots. I had a feeling this would end up like the White Dog Cafe Sunday Funday, but after that we all just sat back, relaxed and enjoyed each others company.

Fox Harbor Bar is located on the Fox River in downtown Green Bay. It is one of the most relaxing and exciting hot spots downtown.
They have an outside patio and in the summer they have a great view of the river and boats can dock a few feet from the patio. They feature live music and also boast a huge gas bonfire pit. They have a great menu which consists of 1/2 lb. Angus burgers, wraps, pasta dishes, and salads. It is a casual and fun place with a lively atmosphere. I tried their half pound Angus burger served with fries; it proved to be juicy and better than your average burger. The patio is where the seating is always in high demand, and don't be surprised if someone asks if they can join you at your table, which can also be a great way to meet new people.
