I had lunch in the Hotel Sierra's restaurant, The Pub, which on Green Bay's east side in the downtown Green Bay area. The restaurant / bar has a warm atmosphere. All the light fixtures have frosted glass, and each fixture is placed in the right area so you can not only read the menu easily but still maintain that cozy feeling. There are two levels to Hotel Sierra's restaurant; the top level has tables with an open wall to one side that overlooks the contemporary style decor of the hotel lobby. On the lower level is a huge circular bar that seats about forty with overhead TVs more seating with comfortable booths around the walls. The Pub is an apt name for the restaurant with its brick pillars, rich dark colors, mirrored beer signs, and large black and white pictures of days gone by hanging on the walls.
I ordered their Salmon Salad for $9.00 with a diet soda for $2.00. The salad had a pretty colorful presentation and was made up of romaine lettuce, freshly shaved carrots, tomato wedges, parmesan cheese, with the grilled salmon placed on top. The dressing, which was a cusabi, came on the side. The salad was delicious and very satisfying. All the pieces of the lettuce were a nice dark rich green color, crisp and fresh, the carrots tasted like they were recently shaved, and the salmon was nicely grilled, very moist with a savory flavor. The dressing was a nice accompaniment for the salmon; it was creamy in texture, the wasabi flavor came through, nicely which gave it a good burst of flavor. My server throughout my lunch was amiable and helpful.
