Bar Review of AJ's Pub & Grill in Wrightstown, WI

A group of friends and I were out and about in the middle of nowhere. Well, it looked like the middle of nowhere to me but I was assured by the guy driving that he "knows exactly where he's going and it's just a quick short cut." The middle of nowhere-ness was in the Wrightstown neighborhood. And well, after the short cut turned into a kinda long cut we were in need of refreshments. Lucky for us, Wrightstown had us covered. Actually, AJ's Pub & Grill in Wrightstown had us covered.
Since none of us were really expecting to stop at a bar and be totally seen in public we weren't dressed the best. Okay, okay, so it was ME who wasn't dressed. I was wearing a tank top, sports bra and cheer leading shorts. Not my finest rags. But, at AJ's, they will welcome you even looking as bad as I did. This place is a very low key, come as you are, drink what you want when you want place. It didn't hurt that AJ's was packed and the lights were low. The music was a blastin', people were playing pool or mingling and drinks were a flowin'. This joint was seriously the place to be in Wrightstown. The only bad thing I can truly say it that it was so so smoky. But I suppose that will all end soon enough. The bar is located off to the left when you enter and it's fairly large. They have a pool table and darts off to the opposite side. We got several rounds of Bud Lights and I think they are $2.50. I say think because I didn't personally order any and when I asked that's the answer I got. AJ's has plenty of Miller products, Bud products; you know the usual beer bars have. Also, their liquor shelves are full with anything your little heart desires. The crowd at AJ's varied from young to old, dressed up, dressed down. Let's just say an eclectic mix; which is perfect for people watching. Hooray for misguided short cuts and hooray for AJ's.
